  36. Shareasale.com - I've used them for a couple years for some banner advertising. They are similar to Commission Junction and Linkshare however they seem to have lower tiered companies with advertising offers.

  38. Software Judge - They will pay you up to $50 to review software.

Tips for Bloggers to Success in Adsense

There are many factors that impact the level of revenue generated from a blog using the Google Adsense program. Books have been written explaining expert strategies for Adsense – However for the purposes of this series we’ve boiled it all down into four elements that we believe impact your Adsense earning capacity the most. Speaking in general terms here is a simple equation that illustrates how the factors each contribute to Adsense Revenue.

Adsense Revenue = Traffic Levels + High Paying Ads + Relevant Ads + Optimally Positioned and Designed Ads
Its not Rocket Science. Each of the above four elements contribute directly to the total revenue that your Adsense Ads will produce. Don’t just work on one of them though because if any one is weak it will hold your potential earnings back. Lets break each factor down…
.

Traffic Levels – The more people that see you Adsense Ads, the more likelihood there is that someone will click on them. As I examine the statistics provided by Adsense that report my daily earnings I notice that my earnings in the past 8 months have increased considerably as my total page impressions have increased. For example earlier in the week when Slashdot linked up to this post I had an influx of 50,000 visitors in 24 hours to my blog – it doesn’t take a genius to work out what this did to my Adsense earnings that day! Work on increasing your traffic levels and you should see an increase in your Adsense Revenue.

High Paying Ads – Once again I’m stating the obvious, but if the content you provide on your blog attracts high paying ads you’re going to do significantly better. For example it has been documented that the PVR Blog is doing pretty well when it comes to high Adsense earnings – the secret of its success is partly due to it being served with ads that are high paying. The topic of the PVR blog is, as you’d expect, PVR technology including TiVo, Replay TV etc. This is cutting edge technology and therefore advertisers are willing to pay top dollar to get their products and services out there! In comparison if a person was to start a blog on ‘toothpicks’ I suspect the ads are not likely to pay very much. It would take very high traffic levels to earn as much from a toothpick blog as it would the PVR blog.

Relevant Ads – A second reason the PVR Blog is successful is that it servers relevant ads. To put it simply people looking for information on PVR technology are confronted by Adsense ads for PVR technology. I recently visited a blog that was having trouble getting relevant ads – they had a blog on Tourist destinations in Australia – but unfortunately they were getting Adsense ads for remote control cars. You can guess what their revenue was like. Increase the relevancy of your Ads to your content and you are one step closer to increasing your Adsense revenue.

Optimally Positioned and Designed Ads – One of the coolest things about the Adsense program is that they give you freedom in choosing the best position and color scheme for your ads. Just like in the wider world of advertising – positioning is a key element to an ads success. A Billboard positioned on a road where no one drives is not likely to get the same results as one positioned on a busy intersection. The position and design of your Adsense Ads is critical – if they are out of site they’ll never get clicked on.

Bringing them Together – The above four elements are in many ways pretty obvious when spelt out like this – the challenge comes to improving each to optimize Adsense revenue.
Your revenue will only grow as high as the weakest one of these factors on your blog. For example if you have high paying, relevant, well designed and positioned ads but no traffic you’ll not do well. Likewise if you have high traffic, high paying and relevant ads but they are poorly designed an in a position where they’ll never be seen – you’ll waste all your other hard work. Its not enough to work on one element.
How do we improve each? In the next four posts we’ll examine each area in turn and suggest a number of ways that you might try tweaking them to increase your revenue.

Success Adsense and Clickbank using WordPress

Autoblogging has become a huge trend these days with many affiliate marketing gurus offering so-called push-button systems supposed to make you piles of money overnight using WordPress blogs, Google Adsense and Clickbank. Is it possible to make money blogging using niche marketing techniques? Of course it is. Every guru’s system almost certainly worked for them. The problem comes when several thousand people try to make money using the same system at the same time.

I’ve got a suggestion here that is going to save you time and money and prevent the almost certain disappointment that will come when you purchase one of these Instant Profit Machines. Don’t fall for them! Over the next few posts, we are going to suggest some excellent tools that you can use to ensure the success of your online marketing efforts. Many of them will be free, while some will have a moderate fee attached to them.

The true key to success is NOT to do what everybody else is doing. By the time you get wrapped up in the latest wonder-system, thousands of others have also done the same thing and the market is flooded with swarms of bloggers and affiliate marketers all chasing the same finite piece of the pie. The best path to making money blogging with WordPress, Google Adsense and Clickbank is to make your own pie!

Success in Niche Marketing is not complicated but first you must find your own niche or better still, a few of them! Pick a few topics that interest you and in which you have at least some basic knowledge. By selecting a niche this way, you can learn as you earn and will be sure to be working in an area that interests you. One way to produce unique content that will make search engines love you is to either write it yourself (hard), review others work (easier) or produce content that is a compilation/precis of existing content(easiest). All of these methods are FREE, ethical and so-called ‘white-hat’. Google or other search engines will rank your content as unique and original. One page of original, targeted, keyword-rich content is worth 20 pages of copied or re-hashed material.

If you want to make money with a WordPress blog you will need a few things:
  • A hosting account
  • At least one domain name
  • A WordPress Blog
  • A Google Adsense Account
  • A Clickbank Account

The first couple of items are going to cost you a few pennies but the last 3 are all available free. In our next instalment, we will show you where to get the first two and how to set them up

How to Multiply Your Adsense Revenue

I have been working with Google Adsense for quite a while now and I have some simple tips for low earners to boost their Income.

As we know, Google Adsense is a pay per click program where you get paid when a visitor clicks the Adsense ads on your site and you can earn anywhere $0.10 to a $1.00 or more depending on what the advertiser is paying per click.

New Adsense publishers have not optimized their Adsense fully, so this article is to help these new and probably low earners to make some money.

Adsense On Your Site

I know you might be caught up in the whole money making online and you might tend to place a numerous amount of ads on your site but this would not be recommend. If you fill your site with ads this means you would be destroying your site without even knowing it by making money.

Visitors tend to get turned off if you have more ads than content. Remember, the reason why visitors come to your site is because of the contents that you have, not to click on your ads. Wouldn’t it be strange if you just browse from site to site to click on the ads? You have to deliver quality content to your visitors and might be in turn you will get a few clicks depending on your traffic.

Positioning Your Adsense Ads

I would not recommend you placing Google Adsense ads at the top of your site. Visitors do not like to be greeted with advertisements in their face. It’s best to place the ad at the bottom, in a suitable position in the content, and or at the side bar, depending on how your website is structured.

Layout and Colors

Layout.  The best performing adsense units is 300 x 250 and 336 x 280. The 728×90 also performs well for me. So I would recommend using these ad units on your site.

Colour. Choosing the right color for your ads is also very important. For me, I like to blend my ads.
To blend means you use the same color on your site to match your ads. For example, choosing the same background color and choosing the same link color.
I do this not because I want to hide my ads or trick my visitors that I placed the links there, but because it makes my site look more neater.

The Best Way to Success with Adsense

One of the best ways to make money online is by owning and promoting multiple websites using Adsense to generate revenue. Once you have experience making one website profitable with Adsense, you should seek to duplicate your success over and over again with other Adsense websites.

For example; by applying the methods and techniques taught in the articles posted here at Google Income, it would not be that difficult to create a nice website that earns $100 per month. Granted there will be work involved to achieve this result and a little bit of a learning curve but in the long run it will be worth it. Once you go through the process of creating one profitable Adsense website it will be easier to duplicate the second time. By the third time, you’ll be a pro.

You may not think that $100 per month is a lot of money for a website to be earning a month but it really is a huge success if stop and think about it. For instance, there are plenty of real estate investors out there right now who are leveraged financially to the hilt that would be happy to clear $100 per month on their investment. Add to the mix inevitable tenant issues and repair hassles that the typical real estate investor encounters and it makes you wonder why you would ever want to get involved in real estate investing in the first place.

Real Adsense Succes Story

There are many systems, kits, and guides for creating successful AdSense websites, but most of them aren’t worth a dime. That is why most AdSense publishers do not earn more than a couple of dollars a day, and many more do not earn any money at all. But there is one product, in fact it is a complete AdSense website that is ready to use, that has more AdSense success stories attached to it than any other.

I am talking of course about the AdSense Big Site, the pre-made AdSense sites that have rookies earning as much as $40K per month, that's right, per month! But what is most astonishing is not the high level of internet income that these newcomers are earning, but that THEY DID NOT NEED TO SPEND THOUSANDS OF HOURS TO CREATE LARGE, HIGH TRAFFIC WEBSITES.

I wish I had found this sooner. Don’t get me wrong, I love my websites, and now they are generating great passive AdSense income. But it took me over a year and a half before I began earning a substantial income, and I played all of my cards right. It simply takes time to start a business, and an ad hosting business is no different.

Earning money with AdSense is in direct proportion to the amount of traffic your website receives. The larger the website, the more pages, the more content, the more traffic it gets. Most people build a 30 or less page website and expect to make money, and all they end up earning is a few cents a day. It takes several hundred or even thousands of pages to earn a good income, and with the AdSense Big Site you instantly have your own 1600 page website, perfectly optimized for earning internet income.

For REAL LIFE AdSense success stories, take a look here. You will see how one website can earn over half a million dollars a year, and how you can have your own starting today.

Guide to Success in Google Adsense

If you think you can earn decent amount of Adsense income from your blog by simply monetizing it, you are wrong. This is the main reason behind the 95% failures of new bloggers and Adsense publishers because they start their blog to make money online with google Adsense with the concept of quick rich formula in mind. How ever, it’s not too hard to reach the goal of getting Adsense check of decent amount every month if you follow these guidelines and wait for the results.

Setup a blog, apply for the google Adsense account and once approved, put the Adsense ads on your blog. This is not done yet, it was only the first step of your Adsense blogging business journey. Soon after you monetize your blog with Adsense ads, you should start working on following 5 things to get success with google Adsense.
  1. Right Ads for the Right Audience. I mean the ads being displayed on your blog must be highly relative to your content and your blog niche. How ever if you fail to do so, you will not only loss in your Adsense earnings, but it will also result in bad readers experience, for example if you will see google Adsense ad about “best pregnancy tips” here on this page, you will think that what this ad is doing here and you might also doubt about the quality of this blog, right?I know, the ads are displayed by google Adsense script and you do not have control on it, but wrong ads may also result from wrong or less keyword optimization. Similarly you can make Adsense to display highly relative ads by optimizing your content around your main keyword to improve the chances of being clicked by visitors.
  2. Right Location of the Adsense on Your Page: This is another most important factor of google Adsense optimization. The location is important because if it is not able to catch the eyes of visitors, how it can get clicked? Most suitable location for ads is some where near the title of your page and some where in between the content it self. You can also put Adsense text links near navigation or vertical ad blocks in sidebar also. Never put it in footer of the site, as most of your visitor will not even scroll your page till the footer where your ads reside. All ads must be visible without the need of scrolling the page.
I have not finished yet, there is lot to discuss on best Adsense strategies to make money online, but you will need to wait for my next article for that.

Be Rich With Google AdSense

Achieving Adsense success is not impossible or out of reach. Though Google Adsense is often overlooked by people trying to make money on-line, it is often because of a misconception that you cannot make a lot of money with it. However this is not true and it is possible to generate impressive revenue per 1000 impressions. In addition there is the benefit of monthly cash payments, no customers to deal with, and no need to worry about affiliate programs being stopped forcing you to find new revenue streams.

The Secret to Adsense Success

The trick with Google Adsense is to have a niche targeted site. Your domain name and pages should be based around keywords that attract a pricey cost per click (CPC) on the Adwords side. Google typically pays about 60-70% of Adwords revenue to the Adsense publisher – so you can get a fair idea of how much you can expect to earn by using the free tools Google provide for Adwords users. The people who make small money (per 1000 visitors) usually have non-targeted sites, or get a lot of traffic from countries where the Adwords customers are not targeting.
For obvious reasons, it is probably not wise to pay for traffic for your Adsense site. Because it is doubtful you will get traffic cheap enough to make a profit, and depending on the source it could be against Google’s Terms of Service. The best sources of traffic are organic search engine traffic, as well as traffic from forums, web 2.0 sites and repeat visitors.

If you want to achieve adsense success you have two choices for content. One option is to produce a lot of content quickly to get maximum SEO benefit, another option is to slowly build up quality content for the purpose of adding value and attracting repeat visitors. It is up to you which way to go, although I have had success mixing the two approaches. For example you could post a lot of quick content on your blog, but link to your best posts on the “blog roll” section of permanent links.

To maximize your click-through rate I recommend experimenting with different size ads and different locations. Placing the ad unit between the header and the blog post worked best for me, as it gets the attention of someone who visited. Remember that Adsense takes people away from your site, so it could be detrimental if you are trying to sell products on your site. If this is the case you might want the ad unit towards the bottom, so people only click if they are not interested in your product.
Colors – there are many options for colouring the ad unit. I recommend sticking with the default colors as they work best for me. Choose a color scheme for your blog so that you have a background that matches the Adsense units you are using.

5 Lessons to Success With AdSense

People seeking wealth online have asked me to continue what we started in AdSense Success Stories Part 1, so here we are with the surprising, eye-popping revelation of how 21-year old Jehzlau has good naturedly and generously risen up the AdSense success ladder.

Why eye-popping? Well, he succeeded even if he did not follow those AdSense gurus. And surprising, because he does not quite realize it... yet.

Jehzlau is Jehzeel Laurente, an aspiring problogger who is growing a network of content blogs. He even has a site called Make Money Online While Sleeping, and if you visit that Blogspot or Blogger.com blog of his, you will be amazed with the content.

Usually, MMO blogs talk mainly about how to earn online, right? Well, Jehz's MMO blog has a different focus. It makes me wonder why he named it MMOWS, but hey, it works!

Lesson Number 1: Break Out Of Your Shell.

Just because you have an MMO blog doesn't mean that's all you're going to focus on, right? You are completely free to take your blog in whatever direction you wish, and you may very well discover how pursuing your keen interests can prove profitable in the long run.

(I know, lots of gurus scoff at the "mistaken" advice: Follow Your Passion. But guess what? It sometimes works. Granted, it doesn't work all the time, but it still does every now and then.)

I will not reveal the winner blogs of Jehz. Although he freely talks about it, it would be better if you get the news straight from him. Let's just say that when he does not update his blogs for several weeks, and his blog earnings dip to the lowest point, he is still earning much more than a middle manager working in a Top 500 Corporation in the Philippines.

Lesson Number 2: Frequent Blog Updates Is Over-Rated.

You've heard many people say you need to write every single day, or you need to at least blog regularly (i.e., once a week, every week, for 52 weeks). Others even use automated systems to automatically publish pre-programmed WordPress postings to give the impression that a human being is regularly updating their blog.

A few, on the other hand, have kept quiet about seeing their AdSense income drop even if they write regularly. Perhaps they're uneasy about admitting to the people around them how they've apparently wasted their time on this blogging thing.

So how can Jehz, even after slacking off for two months, survive dramatic 50% drops in his AdSense earnings, and still out-earn your typical 8-to-9pm manager? Well, the secret lies in getting a lot of traffic from the search engines. Free, unpaid, organic traffic. Yes, there's no need to spend hours monitoring some crazy PPC campaign.

And how did he get all this wonderful search engine traffic? From optimizing his blog.
So I checked his blog, and here's what I found: It isn't that optimized.

Lesson Number 3: Don't Obsess Over SEO.

Just to be clear, Jehz's blog (at least the winner blog that I saw) is optimized. It's just not overly optimized. Most gurus will say that you should enclose your WordPress blog titles in H1 heading tags. Well, the blog post titles of Jehz are enclosed in H2 tags, while his header graphic is the one encased in those H1s.
Heresy, some would shriek. And yet, his blog still appears on page 1 of the Google SERPs for his targeted keywords. What's more surprising is that his site does not always appear among the Top 5 pages listed in Google, and yet he is an AdSense success (even is he's listed in number 10).

What about keywords? I used WordTracker to check his targeted keywords and phrases, and saw an estimated figure of 260 searches. Other sites who rank either #1 or #2 for keyword phrases that WordTracker says get over 8,500 searches only earn $2 to $47 each month in AdSense dollars.
It makes me wonder if Jehz even used WT at all. But still, what he did works.

He strikes me as someone who used his head, and placed himself in the shoes of his targeted audience. He asked himself: "What does my target audience want?", and he answered his own question within 3 minutes.
In other words, the answer was rather obvious. All that was needed was to turn those ideas into reality: into a high-earning web site.

You know, in spite of all his success, Jehz remains humble and generous. He freely shares his knowledge, and even goes out of his way to help others learn. In fact, one of his "students" has built a mini-network of blogs (less than 10), and is now earning 3x what Jehz is earning.

Lesson Number 4: Choose Your Audience and Topic Well.

Perhaps that "student" has the advantage of age, plus experience, which allowed him/her to target a certain kind of audience, pursue a lucrative topic, outsource the writing of articles rather inexpensively, and efficiently manage a mini-network of blogs that helped grow his/her AdSense earnings comparable to the basic pay of an Executive Director here in the Philippines, and then some

No, I will not reveal what that niche topic is, but I'll tell you this: If you can't think of what that winner topic is in the next seven seconds, then be prepared to work extremely hard to build a worthwhile site on that subject matter. Yes, it's all around you and is an important part of your life, but if that topic is not truly in you, then you'll just end up slaving away and trying too hard to build a winner AdSense site.
And since I wouldn't want to wish that on you, I will have to keep the topic a "secret." The key lies in first targeting the right kind of audience. Put yourself in the shoes of advertisers and ask yourself this: "What kind of audience do you want to advertise to?"
Once you have that figured out (and I'm certain it will come easy to you), then do some brainstorming and ask yourself: "What kind of things does my target reader want to read about?"

Lesson Number 5: Be Grateful. Be Generous. Gain Friends.

And if you do it right, you might even be yet another AdSense success story with a micro blog network of just two sites. When you do reach that level, remember to remain humble and generous, and try not to be too astonished when you discover that the returns surpass even your wildest imagination.

A lot of people tend to get overly excited when it comes to making money online. It is quite easy to dream you will be able to maximize your earnings while minimizing your effort. If you choose that approach, you will realize deep inside that you're not exactly being grateful nor generous. How can you expect others to help you, if all you do is take, take, take, right?

If you, like Jehz and countless other successful bloggers, focus on how you can help people, not just through your blogs but also there in your physical world, face to face with the people around you, then you will achieve a much deeper level of success. And those thousands of AdSense dollars each month will just be the icing on the cake

The Most Crucial Channels to Your Success in Internet Marketing

When I talk to people outside the industry and ask them how they define internet marketing, I usually hear one of two things:
  1. Those ads that appear when you do a Google search, or
  2. It has something to do with Facebook, right?
Internet marketing is much bigger than Google and Facebook. To reach their target market online, companies must take advantage of all the potential strategies.
Let’s review the major internet marketing strategies companies use to drive targeted traffic to their websites:

1. Search Engine Optimization

When you type a keyword into Google, two types of results come up: paid and unpaid. Unpaid search results rely on algorithms that determine the relevancy of your website compared to the search terms. Where you land on these unpaid search results depends on search engine optimization (SEO). Solid SEO can determine how high up you appear in the search results, often called your page rank. According to Forrester Research and Lee Odden, search marketing outlays (pay per click and SEO) will reach $20.7 billion in 2011.

2. Pay Per Click Campaigns

In 2008, search industry stats showed that paid ads accounted for 30 percent of search traffic click through. When your website’s SEO doesn’t lead to a high page rank, pay per click (PPC) advertising can get your site above the fold. Just be careful. PPC campaigns can burn through a ton of cash and generate a negative ROI unless you know what you’re doing. Also keep in mind that success in 2011will require that you leverage both SEO and PPC efforts to lower click costs and increase page rank by having both channels work in sync.

3. Social Media Marketing

Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and YouTube. Heard of em? That’s because they are the type of marketing tools that can reach millions of your target market. For example, if you aren’t advertising on Facebook, at minimum you need to set up a corporate profile page that engages with current and potential customers. To use these tools to their full advantage, you need to understand the demographics and mind sets of each of the major social media channels. Choosing the correct strategy for each channel matters since social campaigns used incorrectly can create a backlash. In 2011, Forrester predicts that companies will invest $1.2 billion in social media marketing.

4. Affiliate Marketing

The 2010 holiday season generated a record return of $32.6 billion for retail ecommerce. A huge chunk of those returns went to affiliate marketers. However, many merchants are unaware of the potential for performance-based marketing.
Commission Junctions (CJ), a leading affiliate marketer, recently shared its numbers for Black Friday and Cyber Monday in 2010. The results show that businesses are missing sales opportunities if they fail to include performance-based marketing in their internet marketing strategy. Comparing same store sales, sales driven through CJ outpaced overall comScore sales numbers.
Performance-based marketing comes with few risks at a low cost since companies only pay out if a desired action is met. Success, however, requires that companies hire an experienced affiliate manager to manage their program and to create a positive experience for you and your affiliates. Without proper management, performance-based marketing can dilute your brand, misrepresent your products, not perform at all or override other marketing efforts entirely.

5. Shopping Channel Management

The recession and its economic challenges change the way people buy. Customers look for the lowest possible price, daily deals, coupons, and any other potential savings. People also have less time to shop around. Shopping search engines like Nextag.com, Google Product Search, and Shopzilla.com remain popular picks for buyers who want to simplify their shopping experience. With one click, potential customers can see all the merchants who sell the desired product filtered by tags such as price, rating, description, and image in one convenient location. Google Product Search remains the most popular, according to SearchEngineLand.com, followed recently by TheFind.com.

6. Mobile Marketing

In 2011, we’ll see mobile marketing make its breakthrough. Still in its infancy, millions of smartphone users are clamoring to get the best applications and mobile technologies available. Huge opportunities await the companies that understand the potential of affordable mobile stores, advanced applications, and wide-spread usage. Even banks now understand the power of mobile. In 2011, over 150 million people will use their mobile devices for banking. This channel and others like it, show huge growth potential over the next three to five years. You can set yourself apart from your competitors by getting brand into the hands of your biggest fans.

7. Video Marketing

Billions of people share and view original videos at YouTube, Founded in 2005, YouTube stands as the third highest ranked search engine in the world, after Google and Facebook. YouTube’s serious sticking power comes with the benefit of being free. But how do you create that one video that goes viral? What elements do you need to take your video from 100 views to 10 million views? This question gets asked by marketers every day and companies spend hundreds of thousands, if not millions trying to master the medium. Despite the challenges, you can’t ignore video. For 2011, TechCrunch projects that online video advertising will grow by 50 percent and hit $11.4 billion in the next five years, outpacing the growth of traditional TV advertising.

8. Email Marketing

According to MarketingSherpa, when integrated with emerging marketing channels such as social media, email appears to have unlimited potential especially when combined with multiple improvement tactics now available through various sources. As one of the most simple, effective, and sometimes overlooked marketing channels, email marketing is inexpensive, highly lucrative, and does a great job of solidifying brand loyalty for current customers.
Dozens of email distribution networks offer exceptional services, including free templates, ongoing support, and recommendations for high delivery, open, and click through rates. MailChimp.com’s service still stands out from its competitors with its free monthly options, easy-to-use interface, high-converting templates, and useful reporting tool. If email marketing is not something you’ve tried, now is the time to get help and get it done.

9. Display Advertising

Display advertising can be a great option for companies with a larger online marketing budget. Also referred to as banner ads, you find a site with high traffic (calculated as unique visitors) whose audience fits your target market. You then pay the site to put up a featured banner ad for your brand. Display ads drive targeted traffic back to your website and help establish your brand in buyers’ minds. Placing banner ads can also help with search engine rankings since the ads create a link back to your site, increasing your website’s authority in search engine algorithms. Google predicts that by 2015 display advertising will reach $50 billion.

10. Online PR and Article Marketing

According to PR Newswire, 84 percent of journalists like to get pitched via email. In addition to email, these journalists also use Facebook (79 percent), LinkedIn (64 percent), and Twitter (58 percent) to search out potential stories. Beyond full-time journalists, a few million bloggers also want good stories to publish. Taking the time to create and distribute press releases and articles can help promote your business through these channels, both online and offline.
Not only are bloggers looking for a good story, but both online and offline media (publishers, editors, writers) are looking online for their next big story. There are several free article and PR distribution sites exist, however the well-known, paid-distribution networks, like PRweb.com are great options for fast and furious media reach.

Additional Things to Consider

Before you spend a cent on any of these marketing channels, please take the time to understand the following:
  1. You must measure results (e.g., website traffic, page performance, and conversion rate). If your site doesn’t include analytics currently, you must add a service like Google Analytics.
  2. What is your overall site conversion rate? If you have a 0 percent conversion rate, no money in the world will get you a positive return on your advertising dollar.
  3. Where does your website traffic come from? What keywords do people use to find your particular product or service?
  4. Who do you define as your target market? Where do they hang out most? What messages are you reaching them with?
  5. How do you compare to your online competition? What’s your pricing like? What are your differentiation factors? What value propositions do you offer and how clear are they on your website?
  6. What’s the quality of your website design and imagery? Does the site appear fresh and relevant or old and dated? If you use advertising on your site, does it match your target audience and offer clear messaging?
  7. Does your website make sense?? Do you have clear calls to action? Do customers know where to go once they get to your site?
  8. What opportunities do you need to consider offline? Have you lined up your online and offline marketing efforts to increase overall effectiveness? If so, which marketing channels will best serve your particular product or service with your target market?
  9. Do you need new tools or technologies to get the best results or do you already have what you need to be effective?
  10. Do you have the right team to design, plan, execute, and manage your marketing strategies? Can your in-house team do the work or do you need to outsource these marketing channels to a specialized service provider to ensure the best results and a higher return on your marketing spend?
Asking these important questions will help you build a successful internet marketing strategy.
With the right planning, positioning, and personnel to deliver your product into the hands of your online buyers, you will find that the online marketplace offers incredible growth and higher profits for your business.

A Lesson From Adsense Mentor

As with any home owned business, in order to make money with adsense, you may want to choose a mentor who had adsense successs, particularly during the early stages of the business.
A mentor is a person who is willing to help those with less experience and understanding to develop in the business by providing helpful tips, answers and guidance toward a more mature professional stance for the beginner. In order to make money with adsense, a mentor is not required, but it will certainly help to avoid common mistakes that newcomers tend to make without the guidance of someone who has been there.
Experience
A mentor allows you to draw on the experience developed during months or years in the Adsense program. To make money with adsense requires more sometimes than just reading the description of the program and a tutorial on how to do it. You can often be helped by chatting with someone with adsense success and who has actually implemented the program and made it work for them. They will be able to advise you about things such as how to find good keywords, how to lay out your ad and whether another site is working well. Sure, you can find out such things on your own, but it is easy to become discouraged when the revenues are slow to build and you aren't sure why.
Improved Revenue
Working with someone who is knowledgeable in how to make money with adsense allows you to quickly find ways to improve your revenue picture without having to resort to trial and error. Hopefully this is a mentor who has had some help earlier in his or her pathway to Adsense success and is willing to pass the favor on to others in gratitude for the help received previously. They will have had some of the same questions you are having and their responses will usually save you time and money in your attempts to make an income from Adsense.
Test ideas
Finding a mentor experienced in how to make money with adsense will often benefit the mentor as well as the newbie. Often a person who is new and excited about the prospects of the income will bring a freshness to thinking and a new exhilaration to the mentor who may have lost a little of the first enthusiasm. The questions posed and forcing the mentor to think through reasons why can sometimes lead to better and more profitable methods of doing the same program. Eventually, the two or more people in the program may be able to work more as a team, bouncing ideas and concepts off each other and both will benefit.
Add links
In a business where who you know is all important, being able to add good solid links from a variety of IP addresses is important. When you make money with adsense, it is often due to the creation of a high page ranking so that your ads are seen by more people. A page ranking is almost always a function of the number and variety of good links that you provide on your web page. If you and your mentor work together in developing solid, healthy links, you well each have better adsense success.

Secret Advice to Becoming a Successful Internet Marketer

The majority of people that start down the enticing road of Internet marketing give up soon after their first promotion. An extraordinary amount of effort for little profit sees many retire from the game almost immediately. Both affiliate marketing and online product marketing may first appear as easy ways to make money, but people soon realize that the web is not an easily tapped goldmine. Internet marketing requires commitment and hard work and can quickly become overwhelming.

The marketing processes involved span way beyond creating a web page or writing an eBook. As a vendor there are a broad range of marketing methods that can be followed, with few of them ever resulting in success. And as an affiliate, even the seemingly basic sifting through of products you might potentially choose to promote, presents a challenging task. From building a list of potential customers that trust your word, to launching a new product to market, being diligent enough to understand the multiple disciplines of online marketing is the downfall of many. However, for those with the staying power, Internet marketing is a great way to establish a lucrative online business.

For those of you just getting started with Internet marketing you will no doubt hear the following phrase many more times, and if you’ve been Internet marketing for some time you are about to hear it again: testing is critical! Internet marketers say this all the time because there are so many different marketing mediums available to be utilized in the marketing process, that it can be quite tempting to flitter back and forth trying out each one in part. Once a person doesn’t experience instant success with one, they tend to quickly switch to a new strategy, and then to another, and so on. The problem with doing this is that it means not fully realizing the potential of each marketing method. By constantly switching between strategies you aren’t giving one particular strategy a chance to flourish. Therefore it is vitally important that you test, test, and test some more with each process, strategy and theory, so you can rule out what doesn’t work and rule in what does.

By doing this you will be able to select the most valuable parts of each strategy and start to build a bulletproof strategy of your own. It is important to recognize early on is that there is no “one size fits all” in Internet marketing, and that the same strategies don’t work for every niche, or even necessarily in the same niche. What works for you might not work for someone else, and vice versa. So decipher what works for you through a continual process of trial and error. Develop a system of your own. It will take some time but will be well worth it in the end. And who knows, one day you might be able to sell your system online as a top-selling product!

Trying multiple marketing methods and only putting limited input into each will only bring frustration. Instead, focus all your energy on one or two marketing approaches. Master them and make sure you have exhausted their capabilities before moving on or adding a new approach to your armory. Don’t keep dipping your fingers in and out of a bucketful of ideas hoping that one will suddenly come to fruition.

Think long-term not short-term. Invest wisely in the short term in order to make money in the long term. And by this I mean investing in the help of some educational programs/books and the advice and help of mentor(s) to help you learn faster and get to your destination of success quicker. If you can master one or two approaches, you will be well on your way toward a successful business. If you learn only parts of a number of different strategies you will remain a “jack of all trades but master of none.”

Internet marketing can take its toll on you psychologically, especially when you have tried out a variety of marketing methods, invested financially and put in a lot of time and effort for little or no reward. But this psychological battle presents a critical stage in your development and success. This is the very point at which many who made it past the first promotion and into further learning stages give up. A knack for perseverance is so very important in Internet marketing and indeed in starting any business. Don’t give up at the third hurdle. Stick by your guns and persevere with strategies that feel comfortable and complement your strengths and ability.

Four Solid Bits of Advice to Help You Succeed in Internet Marketing

Advice #1: Find a Mentor
Whether in business, self-development or Internet marketing, growth can be rapidly moved forward by finding a mentor. Mentoring helps you develop at a faster rate, helping you learn faster, develop skills more adeptly and avoid making the same mistakes over and over again. A mentor, like a good teacher, will help you understand exactly what you need to learn, how to learn it and the best time for you to execute the knowledge.

I seek mentors in my life because I know it’s the fastest way to learn. Not only has mentoring helped me to get to where I am today in Internet marketing, but it also continues to be very important to me in other areas of my life. By having a mentor for each important aspect of my self-development, I learn faster and succeed faster. Since starting out on my own journey as an Internet marketer I myself have become a mentor to others. It has truly been a pleasure watching those I have helped grow from online newbie to successful online entrepreneur.

Advice #2: Don’t Work on too Many Projects at Once by Yourself
A huge mistake beginners make is thinking they need to do everything alone. Focus your energy on the most vital areas of your business; the areas that encourage growth and will help you reach your goals faster. If you work on too many projects at once you will find your progress is slow and hindered by many barriers. You can’t be an expert in every discipline, so outsource work where you can. Set aside a budget for delegating work to third parties that prevent you from paying attention to more important areas of your business. Taking on more and more work yourself will see you bogged down unnecessarily in tasks that will significantly slow your progress. Outsourcing will also allow you to have more valuable time away from your computer.

Advice #3: Utilize Free Resources
When a person first decides to get involved with Internet marketing, he or she will be exposed to numerous different online money making products. These products appear as very attractive prospects, and it isn’t uncommon for people to get excited and buy into multiple products in a short space of time. The truth is, almost every marketing method you will read about is potentially a profitable one, but mastering one takes considerable time. Don’t splash out on multiple expensive products. Instead, choose one or two referred to you by your mentor(s). Learn them and utilize them to their full potential before moving onto another area.

In addition to this, make use of as much free information as you can. There is a huge amount of great reference material online that can be found in books, eBooks, video and on blogs. It is often difficult to sift through conflicting information and ideas online, but again, ask your mentor and trusted associates for help in directing you toward informative blogs, forums and other reliable free resources.

Advice #4 Maintain Persistence
You never know when the breakthrough will come, it could be next week, it might even be tomorrow, or it could take six more months. If things are getting on top of you then take a step back from your business and re-think your strategy. Ask yourself, “Am I focusing my energy, time and investment on areas conducive to leading me to my goal?” “Are there things I am avoiding, ignoring or only doing half heartedly that could better position me for success?”

Your success in business is dependent on your mental attitude, your strategy and your devotion to learning and developing yourself on a daily basis. Commit to your goal of becoming a successful Internet marketer and be persistent in your endeavours. Take these words of advice into consideration and go for it. I hope that they help you to become successful in your online venture.

15 Ultimate Tips to Get Succesfull in Google Adsense

Google AdSense Tip #1: Find your keywords
Before serving ads on a web page, check its keyword density. A free and advanced tool for finding the most prominent keywords in a page can be found here: SEO Density Analyzer. Copy the most important keywords to a text file ([web page name]-Google AdSense-keywords.txt).

Google AdSense Tip #2: Improve your keywords
Get keyword suggestions from Overture Search Inventory and from Google AdWords Sandbox. Get new keywords that can help you improve your ad relevance. Enter the keywords from [web page name]-Google AdSense-keywords.txt and save the suggestions to [web page name]-Google AdSense-suggestions.txt.

Google AdSense Tip #3: Keep your website focused on a theme
Use the keyword suggestions to enhance your web pages and to build theme-based content. And also try to get your keywords into the anchor text of your incoming links as much as possible. Don't forget that Google Google AdSense is keyword-targeted advertising: Google Google AdSense bases its advert topics on your websites content, this means that content-rich websites of a popular topic should attract a large amount of ads.

Google AdSense Tip #4: Write a new page every day
One of the best tips is to add a new page to your web site every day. The more content you have, the more visitors you will get. Put an Google AdSense unit on each and every content page of your site. But where? You will find more about that from the next Google AdSense tips.

Google AdSense Tip #5: Choose the right Google AdSense format
Wider formats are successful because the ads are compact, easy to read and are complementary to the content. The top three Google AdSense formats are:

336x280 large rectangle

300x250 medium rectangle

160x600 wide skyscraper

Another successful format is the 468x15 horizontal ad links, that can be placed under your navigation bar.

Google AdSense Tip #6: Color tips
When creating your Google Google AdSense ads it is recommended to use the color scheme and style of your website so that the ads blend in well. Ads without background color and borders perfom better than ads within borders with background color.

Create a custom Google AdSense palette:

border color = background color of your web site

background color = background color of your web site

link color = blue, color of your links

url color = black, #999999

text color = black, #333333, color of your main content

You can also rotate your color palette: select multiple color palettes that blend with your site to create variety.

Google AdSense Tip #7: Position tips
Visitors tend to look at the big headlines to see if your page is worth reading. If you get them interested, they will read the text and look for your navigation links.

Place the Google AdSense ads in a prominent place around the top/left part of your page or under your headlines, where your visitors are most likely to look at.

If you have an article page with a long body of text, the bottom of that article is a good place for Google AdSense ads because your visitors read the text and then they want more resources.

Google AdSense Tip #8: Increase the number of ads
If you have a lot of text on a page, use multiple Google AdSense units. You can use up to three Google AdSense units on a page, two Google AdSense search boxes and one unit of ad links.

Link units allow the user to refine what they're interested in. So if they may not be interested in specific ads on your page, they might be interested in a particular topic, and by clicking on a link unit and a link in the link unit, they'll be able to specify that they're interested in that specific topic and get a lot more options and variety on the ads that might appear.

Google AdSense for Search allows visitors to search Google.com or your sites (up to 3 domains). You earn money whenever they click on the ads that come up on the search results. If you click the Open search results in a new browser window checkbox in the Google AdSense for Search settings, you won't lose your

Google AdSense Tip #9: Preview Google ads
You can find out what ads will be served by Google Google AdSense if you install Google Google AdSense Preview Tool, a very simple tool available only for Internet Explorer 6.0. Click to advertiser sites without generating invalid clicks, and easily add their URLs to your URL filter list. Because Google AdSense uses geo-targeting, Google serves different ads for other countries. Instead of faking your IP or travelling abroad to test your ads, use this Google AdSense tool to see what ads see your visitors from France, Germany or other countries.

It's possible there are no Google Google AdSense adverts available for your webpage. Hide Public Service Ads, using alternate colors or images. Make sure you include the image in a simple html file as a link (use target="_top"). The image size should be the same as the dimension of Google AdSense units. In the alternate url box, enter the absolute url of the html file.

Read more about alternate ads.

Google AdSense Tip #10: What not to do
Don't click your own ads

Don't ask others to click on your Google ads

Don't manually change Google AdSense code

Don't place Google ads on sites that include prohibited content (e.g.: adult sites)

Don't employ cloaking, hidden text or farm links

Don't use Google AdSense ads on the same page with similar ads (e.g.: Yahoo Publisher Network)

Google AdSense Tip #11: Show images above or next to your ads
Placing images above Google AdSense ads is not necessarily prohibited by program policies. However, depending on the method of implementation this could be considered encouraging users to click on ads. So you should include a border line between the ads and the images. Don't show specific products in your images, in order not to mislead the visitors. Just use generic images that will increase the visibility of your ads.

Google AdSense Tip #12: Use section targeting
Use section targeting to emphasize some content in your page. On your site, place this code where you want to emphasize.

Content you want to emphasize.

If you want some content to be ignored, use

Google AdSense Tip #13: Alternate the colors of your ads
Google AdSense allows you to have up to 4 color variations for each variable for which you can specify color. You should do that if you put Google AdSense ads on pages that receive many impressions from the same visitors (for example forums) to reduce ad blindness. For example:

google_color_border = ["628098","628098","000000","000000"];

google_color_link = ["000000","BBB90C","BBB90C","628098"];

google_color_url = ["000000","628098","000000","000000"];

google_color_text = ["628098","628098","000000","000000"];

Great for overcoming ad blindness.

Google AdSense Tip #14: Your Google ads should be visible
Make sure your text ads are visible to the surfers in all screen formats. If you put the ads in a table give sufficient breathing room, i.e. proper cell padding and cell spacing to make the ads stand out from the rest of your content.

Google AdSense Tip #15: Use Google AdSense channels
You can categorize the content of your website into channels and then track your performance. This way you can experiment with different types of ads and see which is performing the best. Instead of buying an Google AdSense tracker, you can enter the most important pages in your site and see how they are doing. Create up to 200 channels for Google AdSense.

Things you need to Be Successful Online Busine

What is Required to Be Successful Online

Starting a Successful internet home business requires 4 basic, but important things:
  1. Find a Profitable Niche
  2. Find legitimate ways to make money online.
  3. Create A Website
  4. Promote Your Online Business
Finding a profitable niche is key to getting sales. So doing a little niche market research is a step that can pay off big time for finding the smaller more profitable niches that people spend their money on.

Once you find a topic of interest, you'll need to find legitimate ways to make money online or choose an internet business model that will fit your lifestyle, interests and business goals.

The next step in the process is creating a website. Most people are nervous about this step, but building a website isn't what it use to be several years ago. While it's a good idea to know some HTML, you certainly don't need to know it at all to build a profitable website.

There are many quality, easy website builders available today, but the tool you choose will depend on your familiarity with building websites, knowledge, your comfort level with the technical stuff and how easy the product itself is to use.

Once you've got your site built and you're 'on the air', next it's time to promote your online business.

Whew! Take a deep breath, It's Not That Bad :-)

If all this sounds complicated and more technical than you're ready to tackle. There are easier answers.
I'm not suggesting that you go with a quick money making scheme that promises overnight riches or buy into some business that guarantees instant success with little effort. Unfortunately there is no such thing.

Building an internet home business isn't hard but it will take effort. It doesn't matter how easy someone can make it sound, to make money in a business takes work.

However getting set up can be actually be easier with the right tools and/or applications. For example, finding a profitable niche, choosing a domain name and getting set up with a hosting service takes time and a fair amount of 'figuring things out'.

These are all things that can be frightening to someone new to the industry.
