Internet Marketing for New Marketer

Something that annoys the heck out of me is the lack of quality information out there on the World Wide Web that actually teaches marketing. There are heaps of keyword tools, SEO techniques and other things that promise you riches overnight, but if there’s one thing that will never fail you, it’s understanding what the “marketing” in “Internet Marketing” is.

it doesn’t even have to be “Internet Marketing. Depending on how long you’ve been on the scene for, you might have heard terms like “Affiliate Marketing” or “Network Marketing” being thrown around. People who are trying to promote these different forms of the same thing to you don’t hesitate to rave about how successful they are with it. What they purposely don’t tell you is how the marketing side of things works with each form.

This series of blog posts will help you to better understand the fundamentals of marketing so you can appreciate really just how it works and where you fit in the picture. As far as I’m concerned, there are no other courses out there that will explain this often overlooked topic to you to the depth at which I’m about to go into.

Without further ado, let’s dive in!
A good starting place is what you think “marketing” actually means. If you are newest newbie out there, then you probably will have only heard of marketing in conjunction with the word, “sales”. Or you might attribute marketing to those annoying people who call you at dinner time, trying to sell you the latest craze.

The reason why sales and marketing are often said in the same phrase is because they’re like two sides of the same coin. You’re dealing with people from whom you want money from. Obviously they’re not going to give it to you willingly; you have to persuade and/or prove to them that whatever you’re selling to them is worth the value that you’re asking for.

Simply put, sales is the actual process of selling something. The whole persuading side of things. Marketing is what is meant to make sales easier. How? Think of a marketer as a middleman. The marketer’s job is to solve people’s problems with solutions. The solutions are that which they’re trying to sell. The hard part is trying to find the person who has the problem.

As long as you think of yourself as the middleman (or woman) who solves problems, you’ll be in the right mindset to be a successful Internet Marketer.

The Best Way to Success with Adsense

One of the best ways to make money online is by owning and promoting multiple websites using Adsense to generate revenue. Once you have experience making one website profitable with Adsense, you should seek to duplicate your success over and over again with other Adsense websites.

For example; by applying the methods and techniques taught in the articles posted here at Google Income, it would not be that difficult to create a nice website that earns $100 per month. Granted there will be work involved to achieve this result and a little bit of a learning curve but in the long run it will be worth it. Once you go through the process of creating one profitable Adsense website it will be easier to duplicate the second time. By the third time, you’ll be a pro.

You may not think that $100 per month is a lot of money for a website to be earning a month but it really is a huge success if stop and think about it. For instance, there are plenty of real estate investors out there right now who are leveraged financially to the hilt that would be happy to clear $100 per month on their investment. Add to the mix inevitable tenant issues and repair hassles that the typical real estate investor encounters and it makes you wonder why you would ever want to get involved in real estate investing in the first place.

Guide to Success in Google Adsense

If you think you can earn decent amount of Adsense income from your blog by simply monetizing it, you are wrong. This is the main reason behind the 95% failures of new bloggers and Adsense publishers because they start their blog to make money online with google Adsense with the concept of quick rich formula in mind. How ever, it’s not too hard to reach the goal of getting Adsense check of decent amount every month if you follow these guidelines and wait for the results.

Setup a blog, apply for the google Adsense account and once approved, put the Adsense ads on your blog. This is not done yet, it was only the first step of your Adsense blogging business journey. Soon after you monetize your blog with Adsense ads, you should start working on following 5 things to get success with google Adsense.
  1. Right Ads for the Right Audience. I mean the ads being displayed on your blog must be highly relative to your content and your blog niche. How ever if you fail to do so, you will not only loss in your Adsense earnings, but it will also result in bad readers experience, for example if you will see google Adsense ad about “best pregnancy tips” here on this page, you will think that what this ad is doing here and you might also doubt about the quality of this blog, right?I know, the ads are displayed by google Adsense script and you do not have control on it, but wrong ads may also result from wrong or less keyword optimization. Similarly you can make Adsense to display highly relative ads by optimizing your content around your main keyword to improve the chances of being clicked by visitors.
  2. Right Location of the Adsense on Your Page: This is another most important factor of google Adsense optimization. The location is important because if it is not able to catch the eyes of visitors, how it can get clicked? Most suitable location for ads is some where near the title of your page and some where in between the content it self. You can also put Adsense text links near navigation or vertical ad blocks in sidebar also. Never put it in footer of the site, as most of your visitor will not even scroll your page till the footer where your ads reside. All ads must be visible without the need of scrolling the page.
I have not finished yet, there is lot to discuss on best Adsense strategies to make money online, but you will need to wait for my next article for that.

Be Rich With Google AdSense

Achieving Adsense success is not impossible or out of reach. Though Google Adsense is often overlooked by people trying to make money on-line, it is often because of a misconception that you cannot make a lot of money with it. However this is not true and it is possible to generate impressive revenue per 1000 impressions. In addition there is the benefit of monthly cash payments, no customers to deal with, and no need to worry about affiliate programs being stopped forcing you to find new revenue streams.

The Secret to Adsense Success

The trick with Google Adsense is to have a niche targeted site. Your domain name and pages should be based around keywords that attract a pricey cost per click (CPC) on the Adwords side. Google typically pays about 60-70% of Adwords revenue to the Adsense publisher – so you can get a fair idea of how much you can expect to earn by using the free tools Google provide for Adwords users. The people who make small money (per 1000 visitors) usually have non-targeted sites, or get a lot of traffic from countries where the Adwords customers are not targeting.
For obvious reasons, it is probably not wise to pay for traffic for your Adsense site. Because it is doubtful you will get traffic cheap enough to make a profit, and depending on the source it could be against Google’s Terms of Service. The best sources of traffic are organic search engine traffic, as well as traffic from forums, web 2.0 sites and repeat visitors.

If you want to achieve adsense success you have two choices for content. One option is to produce a lot of content quickly to get maximum SEO benefit, another option is to slowly build up quality content for the purpose of adding value and attracting repeat visitors. It is up to you which way to go, although I have had success mixing the two approaches. For example you could post a lot of quick content on your blog, but link to your best posts on the “blog roll” section of permanent links.

To maximize your click-through rate I recommend experimenting with different size ads and different locations. Placing the ad unit between the header and the blog post worked best for me, as it gets the attention of someone who visited. Remember that Adsense takes people away from your site, so it could be detrimental if you are trying to sell products on your site. If this is the case you might want the ad unit towards the bottom, so people only click if they are not interested in your product.
Colors – there are many options for colouring the ad unit. I recommend sticking with the default colors as they work best for me. Choose a color scheme for your blog so that you have a background that matches the Adsense units you are using.

5 Lessons to Success With AdSense

People seeking wealth online have asked me to continue what we started in AdSense Success Stories Part 1, so here we are with the surprising, eye-popping revelation of how 21-year old Jehzlau has good naturedly and generously risen up the AdSense success ladder.

Why eye-popping? Well, he succeeded even if he did not follow those AdSense gurus. And surprising, because he does not quite realize it... yet.

Jehzlau is Jehzeel Laurente, an aspiring problogger who is growing a network of content blogs. He even has a site called Make Money Online While Sleeping, and if you visit that Blogspot or Blogger.com blog of his, you will be amazed with the content.

Usually, MMO blogs talk mainly about how to earn online, right? Well, Jehz's MMO blog has a different focus. It makes me wonder why he named it MMOWS, but hey, it works!

Lesson Number 1: Break Out Of Your Shell.

Just because you have an MMO blog doesn't mean that's all you're going to focus on, right? You are completely free to take your blog in whatever direction you wish, and you may very well discover how pursuing your keen interests can prove profitable in the long run.

(I know, lots of gurus scoff at the "mistaken" advice: Follow Your Passion. But guess what? It sometimes works. Granted, it doesn't work all the time, but it still does every now and then.)

I will not reveal the winner blogs of Jehz. Although he freely talks about it, it would be better if you get the news straight from him. Let's just say that when he does not update his blogs for several weeks, and his blog earnings dip to the lowest point, he is still earning much more than a middle manager working in a Top 500 Corporation in the Philippines.

Lesson Number 2: Frequent Blog Updates Is Over-Rated.

You've heard many people say you need to write every single day, or you need to at least blog regularly (i.e., once a week, every week, for 52 weeks). Others even use automated systems to automatically publish pre-programmed WordPress postings to give the impression that a human being is regularly updating their blog.

A few, on the other hand, have kept quiet about seeing their AdSense income drop even if they write regularly. Perhaps they're uneasy about admitting to the people around them how they've apparently wasted their time on this blogging thing.

So how can Jehz, even after slacking off for two months, survive dramatic 50% drops in his AdSense earnings, and still out-earn your typical 8-to-9pm manager? Well, the secret lies in getting a lot of traffic from the search engines. Free, unpaid, organic traffic. Yes, there's no need to spend hours monitoring some crazy PPC campaign.

And how did he get all this wonderful search engine traffic? From optimizing his blog.
So I checked his blog, and here's what I found: It isn't that optimized.

Lesson Number 3: Don't Obsess Over SEO.

Just to be clear, Jehz's blog (at least the winner blog that I saw) is optimized. It's just not overly optimized. Most gurus will say that you should enclose your WordPress blog titles in H1 heading tags. Well, the blog post titles of Jehz are enclosed in H2 tags, while his header graphic is the one encased in those H1s.
Heresy, some would shriek. And yet, his blog still appears on page 1 of the Google SERPs for his targeted keywords. What's more surprising is that his site does not always appear among the Top 5 pages listed in Google, and yet he is an AdSense success (even is he's listed in number 10).

What about keywords? I used WordTracker to check his targeted keywords and phrases, and saw an estimated figure of 260 searches. Other sites who rank either #1 or #2 for keyword phrases that WordTracker says get over 8,500 searches only earn $2 to $47 each month in AdSense dollars.
It makes me wonder if Jehz even used WT at all. But still, what he did works.

He strikes me as someone who used his head, and placed himself in the shoes of his targeted audience. He asked himself: "What does my target audience want?", and he answered his own question within 3 minutes.
In other words, the answer was rather obvious. All that was needed was to turn those ideas into reality: into a high-earning web site.

You know, in spite of all his success, Jehz remains humble and generous. He freely shares his knowledge, and even goes out of his way to help others learn. In fact, one of his "students" has built a mini-network of blogs (less than 10), and is now earning 3x what Jehz is earning.

Lesson Number 4: Choose Your Audience and Topic Well.

Perhaps that "student" has the advantage of age, plus experience, which allowed him/her to target a certain kind of audience, pursue a lucrative topic, outsource the writing of articles rather inexpensively, and efficiently manage a mini-network of blogs that helped grow his/her AdSense earnings comparable to the basic pay of an Executive Director here in the Philippines, and then some

No, I will not reveal what that niche topic is, but I'll tell you this: If you can't think of what that winner topic is in the next seven seconds, then be prepared to work extremely hard to build a worthwhile site on that subject matter. Yes, it's all around you and is an important part of your life, but if that topic is not truly in you, then you'll just end up slaving away and trying too hard to build a winner AdSense site.
And since I wouldn't want to wish that on you, I will have to keep the topic a "secret." The key lies in first targeting the right kind of audience. Put yourself in the shoes of advertisers and ask yourself this: "What kind of audience do you want to advertise to?"
Once you have that figured out (and I'm certain it will come easy to you), then do some brainstorming and ask yourself: "What kind of things does my target reader want to read about?"

Lesson Number 5: Be Grateful. Be Generous. Gain Friends.

And if you do it right, you might even be yet another AdSense success story with a micro blog network of just two sites. When you do reach that level, remember to remain humble and generous, and try not to be too astonished when you discover that the returns surpass even your wildest imagination.

A lot of people tend to get overly excited when it comes to making money online. It is quite easy to dream you will be able to maximize your earnings while minimizing your effort. If you choose that approach, you will realize deep inside that you're not exactly being grateful nor generous. How can you expect others to help you, if all you do is take, take, take, right?

If you, like Jehz and countless other successful bloggers, focus on how you can help people, not just through your blogs but also there in your physical world, face to face with the people around you, then you will achieve a much deeper level of success. And those thousands of AdSense dollars each month will just be the icing on the cake

Mapping Patterns to Success online marketing

Although there are still a lot of businesses that choose to stick to offline marketing, more and more companies, big and small alike, are shifting to the benefits and advantages that the Internet has to offer.

It is undeniable that, indeed, a lot of entrepreneurs find it too risky to venture to online marketing because of lingering doubts on account security, efficiency to increase sales, mastering new techniques in promotion and advertising, and studying how to use the internet in doing business. To put it simply, internet marketing is a new concept for most seasoned businessmen, and the learning curve is just too tedious to bridge especially if competition is very stiff.

Regardless of these fears, however, internet marketing has already come a long way since it started making waves in the 1990’s. And, for a business strategy to get this kind of credibility and popularity in almost two decades since it was first tried, internet marketing is surely something worth venturing on.
What could account for this kind of reputation? Simple. Despite all foreseen problems that this business strategy could bring, its benefits are much more overwhelming. This explains the kind of patronage it has garnered in the recent years.

The most major advantage that marketing online has is that it was able to answer some of the major problems that offline businesses experience. These are the cost and scope of promotions.

In traditional offline business, bigger companies that can afford the extravagant cost of advertising have the edge over their competitors who do not have enough resources to fund such promotional strategies. Yet, with the availability of online marketing, anybody could advertise from scratch. Yes, there might also be paid Internet marketing advertising, but other businesses have the option of doing this for free. The difference between paid and free advertising online is not much with regards to result so long as the one using free promotions is equipped with guaranteed techniques.

The scope of advertising is also limitless. So long as a person has internet access, he could become a potential audience for promotion. This means that it has become much easier for local businesses to expand their target customers and they can do so without having to put up franchises in different regions. Social networking sites, the most common trend nowadays, do not only bridge relationships. They have also become a very effective way of letting everybody know across the globe that somebody in Japan sells car accessories. With offline businesses, this can only become possible if that Japanese car accessory dealer spends millions of dollars for advertisement.

It should also be noted that the Internet is always evolving, thus also is online marketing. This makes the playing field even. Seniority will not be a very big factor in the success of an industry. New businesses will have more leverage in toppling and competing against much bigger and older businesses granting these new businesses have enough skills and talent to maximize the potentials of online marketing.

Surely, there will still be a lot of offline businesses that would refuse to expand their reaches through online marketing. This is the choice that they have to make. However, with the great things that Internet marketing has to offer, it is with great certainty that these businesses will surely have a lot to lose in the long run.

A Lesson From Adsense Mentor

As with any home owned business, in order to make money with adsense, you may want to choose a mentor who had adsense successs, particularly during the early stages of the business.
A mentor is a person who is willing to help those with less experience and understanding to develop in the business by providing helpful tips, answers and guidance toward a more mature professional stance for the beginner. In order to make money with adsense, a mentor is not required, but it will certainly help to avoid common mistakes that newcomers tend to make without the guidance of someone who has been there.
Experience
A mentor allows you to draw on the experience developed during months or years in the Adsense program. To make money with adsense requires more sometimes than just reading the description of the program and a tutorial on how to do it. You can often be helped by chatting with someone with adsense success and who has actually implemented the program and made it work for them. They will be able to advise you about things such as how to find good keywords, how to lay out your ad and whether another site is working well. Sure, you can find out such things on your own, but it is easy to become discouraged when the revenues are slow to build and you aren't sure why.
Improved Revenue
Working with someone who is knowledgeable in how to make money with adsense allows you to quickly find ways to improve your revenue picture without having to resort to trial and error. Hopefully this is a mentor who has had some help earlier in his or her pathway to Adsense success and is willing to pass the favor on to others in gratitude for the help received previously. They will have had some of the same questions you are having and their responses will usually save you time and money in your attempts to make an income from Adsense.
Test ideas
Finding a mentor experienced in how to make money with adsense will often benefit the mentor as well as the newbie. Often a person who is new and excited about the prospects of the income will bring a freshness to thinking and a new exhilaration to the mentor who may have lost a little of the first enthusiasm. The questions posed and forcing the mentor to think through reasons why can sometimes lead to better and more profitable methods of doing the same program. Eventually, the two or more people in the program may be able to work more as a team, bouncing ideas and concepts off each other and both will benefit.
Add links
In a business where who you know is all important, being able to add good solid links from a variety of IP addresses is important. When you make money with adsense, it is often due to the creation of a high page ranking so that your ads are seen by more people. A page ranking is almost always a function of the number and variety of good links that you provide on your web page. If you and your mentor work together in developing solid, healthy links, you well each have better adsense success.

The Three Ultimate Secrets to Success in Marketing

Hard to believe it’s the 200th edition of the newsletter. If you told me back in 1999, that I’d be writing this thing for 12 years, I would have said you were nuts. Rather than go down memory lane, or providing a “greatest hits” of past achievements, I want to share something very special. It’s my top three secrets to success. Call them my credo, mantra, mission statement, whatever you like. I hope that they serve you, as well as they have served me, over the years.

The Truth About Marketing
Ken McCarthy is both a personal friend and a mentor. In addition to knowing direct marketing inside out, he’s the best copywriter I know. Since 1994, Ken has been teaching marketing through live seminars. Many of the top income earners got their ideas thanks to Ken’s teaching. Unfortunately, this year will be the last System Seminar. This is your last chance to take it. I’m not implying any fake urgency or scarcity, this time its the real deal.

Three Secrets to Success

2011 marks the 12th anniversary of this newsletter. Many of you have been with me for years. Some of you for a decade.  Hundreds of you have worked with me to achieve the true internet life style. You know what it’s like to enjoy the freedom it brings.

The last vacation I had was a six month road trip, four years ago. My wife Amy and I drove across Canada, and around the entire USA for six months. No set itinerary, just roaming around, staying in places that we enjoyed.

I worked the whole time, writing the newsletter and running my consultancy. Most people didn’t even know I was on vacation. That’s because I’ve got my business down to five items. All I need is a Mac laptop, backup drive, USB headset for Skype, cell phone and video camera. Throw in the WIFI that most hotels offer and I’m in business.

Four years later, here I am, roaming around China for six weeks. I don’t say that to impress you, but to impress upon you, that if you work hard, at something you love to do, and become one of the best at it, you can achieve your dreams.

As you build your internet business, think about being in it for the long run. Ignore shiny objects promising quick roads to riches. Avoid the shortcuts and tactics de jour. Stick to the tried and true marketing principles. (Like you’ll learn at the System Seminar, if you care to meet me there.)

Think of building your business like turning the propeller on a ship. If you turn it once, you don’t get very far.
If you turn a propeller for weeks, and you can cross oceans. Turn it for years and it will take you everywhere you’ve dreamed of going. I hope it serves you as well as it has me. I’d like you to remember these three things. Call them rules if you like, but they really are true internet marketing secrets.

You get paid by bringing value to the marketplace. That value can be through invention, or product innovation, but it can also be through what you’ve learned by reading and doing.

If you improve your knowledge, or skill set, you increase your personal value. You can charge more for your advice and services. Remain a student and keep learning new things your entire lifetime. Your mind will remain sharp and keep young, as you discover and explore new ideas. You’ll continue to earn more, with every passing year.

Be of service always. Listen closely. Listen to where people say they are now, and where they’d like to be. That distance, or interval between the two, is your chance to make a sale.

Sometimes it’s not your product, or service, and you’ll need to send the customer elsewhere. That’s ok.
People will respect your honesty and remember you. They are far more likely to purchase from you, than a stranger, when they need a product, or service like yours in the future. Never, ever, compromise your integrity, or values, for a short term gain. You may make the sale today, but ultimately loose the customer and their friends forever.

Remember that you’re in business for the long haul. The greatest measure of your worth, to any new customer, is your reputation. Be fair and honest in everything you do. New customers will seek you out, not just because of your advertising, but because of the relationships you have with their friends.

Identify the problems facing your niche. Source or create the solutions. Sell your solutions to the existing market, as digital products or downloads.

Digital is the fastest way from concept to market. Plus you’ll avoid the all hassels of inventory, merchandising and shipping.

Never do it the other way round, by creating a product first, and then trying to find, or create a market. The market must already exist, if you want quick success.

All that remains now, is to follow up your product sales with permission based email marketing, and you’ll have a successful business. But you don’t have to stop there…

Consider giving back to the community that made you successful. It could be through a newsletter, regular blog posts, or participating in discussions wherever your brand is mentioned.

You might also set up a private site, even though you don’t need the revenue. Simply by coaching and mentoring others, you’ll get a wonderful feeling of satisfaction, as you contribute to their success.
That’s it for the 200th edition my friends. I hope that these three internet marketing secrets serve you, as well as they’ve served me over the years.

Pathway to Success in Internet Marketing

Did Lebron James, Tiger Woods (ignore recent antics), Sidney Crosby, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and those like them start out on top? Clearly everyone knows that it took hard work and dedication for these great success stories to achieve their goals. These same principles include everything in life – including Internet home businesses and marketing. I recently read an article asking if article marketing was dead. My response to that is, if you are writing for the purpose of marketing your home based business opportunity, it is dead to you. It is hard when you are first starting out and results are slow and fleeting. But much like the Chaos Theory or the butterfly effect, it is impossible to know what the ultimate tipping point will be to push an Internet entrepreneur over the edge to success. However, failure is imminent if one skips the basics and tries to fast track their way to success. This is the beginning of a series that will help define some of the basic things that should be in the repertoire of all Internet marketers to ensure growth of their home based business opportunity, as well as a well-rounded approach that will protect your home based business idea in the event of the Google Slap. The topics will range from the various forms of free advertising and paid techniques and ways to optimize the their use. Here is a quick overview of the topics to be discussed:
Article Marketing:
This is often overlooked when beginning a legitimate home business as people immediately want to post ads on Google Adwords to get results. Yes, it is going to take time to build anything near the traffic pay-per-click (PPC) can with a collection of articles, but those articles do two things: 1) They build credibility for you as a marketer 2) As a result of the credibility that you establish your future campaigns will be more successful. This is an all important first step to building your online brand. How and why this helps with Search Engine Optimization will be discussed in that particular piece. My favorite sites for posting articles: Better Networker, Ezine, ArticlesBase.
Video Marketing:
The core principles with video marketing are the same to article marketing. The goal is to establish credibility and get your name out there. Videos clearly have the added benefit of introducing your personality to viewers. Yes, some of this can come across in articles and accompanying photos, but seeing you will help them get a feeling for who you are and that you are a real person. Done correctly these can have a powerful impact. A great way to distribute your content: Traffic Geyser.
Social Media:
When Facebook is neck and neck with Google for the most popular website in the world, it is hard to not take notice. Social media is an affective tool in two particular ways. First, with the size of the traffic any business can benefit from advertising on such sites. However, the one piece that is often overlooked is the benefit these site provide in character building. Much like the videos discussed above, social media outlets allow for potential customers to do research and figure out who they are dealing with. Similarly, when networking with friends the topic of profession will often come up – the perfect time to introduce your business. The other king of the industry: Twitter.
Blogging:
This is a must, and quite possibly should be first on the list, but getting in the habit of performing these other tasks will aid in the development of your blog and/or website. You need a hub for which all of your material is linked. It will make it easier to find you and the things you are involved with on the web. An underrated part of this is keeping your material up to date. While some people hate producing content, or don’t see it as revenue generating, having out of date material is a big red flag. When people see a site that has not been updated since 2008, it calls to question how reliable any of the other content may be. Best place to start: WordPress.
Search Engine Optimization:
While this is something that takes time to build, it is imperative to success. If Google Adwords or the like is your only tool, you are leaving a ton of potential customers on the table. Look at this heat map from Eyetools.com. It tracks eye patterns and clearly shows that the majority of the attention is on the free side of the page and even the first 5 listings get more attention than the number one spot on the paid side. Utilizing the above tools religiously and linking them back to your main page will help conquer the beast. Here is a great educational site: Bruce Clay.
Email marketing:
Everyone hates to have a full inbox of junk, but the reason all the emails keep coming is that some of them work. There are techniques that can be used to make yours stand out. This is also a very good way to get some cheap practice for PPC. A couple of good sites that you can jump on to get started: List Joe, Viral URL.
Stay in touch with your list:
First off, if you are not keeping in regular contact with those who asked for information from you, why not? If you cannot get those who are already interested to buy your products, how do you expect to get others. And if you are not keeping a list, start today. This is a great way to establish a report with your potential customers and get your home based business opportunity off the ground. You can get started here: Aweber.
PPC:
Last, and definitely not least, is PPC. This is the focus of many online marketers, but I feel it should be the capstone of all of the steps taken above to provide a well-balanced Internet home business. The numbers don’t lie, and this can be a very profitable way to market your business, however there are many steps that should be taken to assure that you do not lose an inordinate amount of money testing ideas – whether that is from paying too much for ads that don’t produce, or from passing up on what would have been a successful campaign. Since Google is the king, start here: Perry Marshall: The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords.

Things you need to Be Successful Online Busine

What is Required to Be Successful Online

Starting a Successful internet home business requires 4 basic, but important things:
  1. Find a Profitable Niche
  2. Find legitimate ways to make money online.
  3. Create A Website
  4. Promote Your Online Business
Finding a profitable niche is key to getting sales. So doing a little niche market research is a step that can pay off big time for finding the smaller more profitable niches that people spend their money on.

Once you find a topic of interest, you'll need to find legitimate ways to make money online or choose an internet business model that will fit your lifestyle, interests and business goals.

The next step in the process is creating a website. Most people are nervous about this step, but building a website isn't what it use to be several years ago. While it's a good idea to know some HTML, you certainly don't need to know it at all to build a profitable website.

There are many quality, easy website builders available today, but the tool you choose will depend on your familiarity with building websites, knowledge, your comfort level with the technical stuff and how easy the product itself is to use.

Once you've got your site built and you're 'on the air', next it's time to promote your online business.

Whew! Take a deep breath, It's Not That Bad :-)

If all this sounds complicated and more technical than you're ready to tackle. There are easier answers.
I'm not suggesting that you go with a quick money making scheme that promises overnight riches or buy into some business that guarantees instant success with little effort. Unfortunately there is no such thing.

Building an internet home business isn't hard but it will take effort. It doesn't matter how easy someone can make it sound, to make money in a business takes work.

However getting set up can be actually be easier with the right tools and/or applications. For example, finding a profitable niche, choosing a domain name and getting set up with a hosting service takes time and a fair amount of 'figuring things out'.

These are all things that can be frightening to someone new to the industry.

Basic Lesson of Internet Marketing

From the last lesson, we learnt that marketing was essentially the act of solving problems. I spoke of the marketer as a “middleman”, someone who brought together people who had a problem with the solution that they were looking for. This is really as simple as it gets; for some reason, people tend to make it more complicated than it’s supposed to be.

Regardless of whether you conduct your marketing online or offline, it’s all the same. You’re still the problem-solving middleman. A marketer who works “offline” tends to work as part of a team. They might be charged with the task of trying to sell a product and finding the group of people who the product is best suited to.
This may involve surveys, giving out free samples and getting people to do short questionnaires. At any rate, it’s pretty time consuming and a lot of it involves the marketers themselves having to go out and collect this data.

The great thing about the Internet is how everything is networked together. You can be on different sides of the planet and still talk to someone thousands of miles away.
The next best thing about the Internet is that people go on it predominantly to find information. There are numerous ways to do this. One of the most popular is to type your search query into a search engine, such as “Google” or “Yahoo!”.

In other words, information is being virtually force fed into this search engine on a daily basis, every second. This is a marketer’s dream come true; gone are the days where you have to go out and painstakingly collect data. All the data that is needed is right there in front of you, on your computer screen.

Think about it. If someone is typing in the phrase, “how to lose weight”, what do you think that person is after? Information on how to lose weight, of course. Then again, they might be after a diet, an exercise or a liposuction clinic in their local area. Whatever they are after, they will type it in.

Someone who types in, “how to lose weight by skipping rope” has a clearer idea of how he or she wants to lose weight than the first person. If you provide them the means of “how to lose weight by skipping rope”, what do you think you’re doing?

Being a marketer, of course!

Sukses Internet Marketing Berawal Dari Mindset Yang Benar

Semoga Bermanfaat….!!!

Let's Make Money With Internet Marketing

In the last lesson, we talked about search engines and just exactly how they provided Internet Marketers with priceless information about the problems they’re searching for solutions for. This is probably the post that you’ve been waiting for. In this post, we’re going to discuss just how you can capitalize upon this information and actually earn some money from it.

Before I do so, I’d like to present to you a more formal definition of marketing. The whole “problem-solving middleman” image is just to help you better understand where you fit in. If you’ve done any study in the area of sales and marketing before, then you will be aware that marketing has two important components. If one component is not present, you cannot make money.

Component #1: Demand – there has to be a person or group of people who want or need something.
Component #2: Supply – There has to be something that you can provide to meet this demand.
That’s it! One of the best things about being online is that supply can be virtually infinite (pun intended). A lot of people have built up 6-figure and 7-figure businesses selling information online, whose supply is obviously limitless, unless you choose to limit it.

So, back to the example in the previous post about the person who searched up, “how to lose weight by skipping rope”… if you had information about this in your possession, don’t you think this could be of particular value to someone who was looking for this?

Both components are present. What’s stopping you from selling what you have? A lot of people tend to get cold feet at this stage. That, or they give up. They don’t know how to set up a website, or they don’t know who to contact or who to ask about different questions they might have.

They’re leaving money on the table, simply because they got too lazy to follow through!
Other people have a different problem. They know how to do all the technologically advanced stuff. They can set up websites, build shopping cart applications into it and get the website up and running, but they don’t have the information to sell.

This is where a subset of “Internet Marketing” that I talked about in the first module comes into play. The next module will talk about something called “Affiliate Marketing”.

20 Ways to Monitize Your Blog

My only monetization strategy was linking to relevant Amazon products, and I was generating just over $100 per month. I worked out that if I carried on like this, simply promoting Amazon products, I’d need to be clocking 50,000 visitors per dayto make a comfortable, full-time income with this blog.
That wasn’t going to happen anytime soon, so I sought advice from fellow ProBlogger forum members, undertook my own research, and carried out my own experiments in a quest to discover alternative ways to increase the revenue I generated from my blog.
In this post, I share twenty strategies you can use to increase your blog income. Many I’m already using, many I plan to use, but some I don’t think would work on my particular blog, though they may work on yours!

1. Google Adsense

I’d always been against adding Google Adsense to my webpages for fear of it taking away from the user experience.
I needn’t have worried as I’ve been able to add one ad unit in a fairly prominent position and one in a more secluded area of the blog without disrupting my readers.
I’ve only had these ads up a few weeks but initial results suggest they will earn me more this month than I earned with my entire blog last month.

2. Sidebar linking

Your sidebar appears on every single one of your blog pages. You need to be making the most of it.
Something I’ve experimented with is adding a new link category with a title that’s something like, “My Top 5 Health Books.”
Then below that title I’ll link to my favourite health books on Amazon. It’s a good way to get more readers in the door at Amazon and earn more Amazon commissions.

3. Deep-linking Amazon products

Sidebar links can work well, but deep linking to specific products that are relevant to the content I’m sharing is the most effective strategy for driving Amazon sales.
For example, on my health blog, if I have a post about the benefits of avocado oil for skin and hair, then linking to the most effective avocado oil on Amazon will generate a number of clicks and sales.

4. Localize your Amazon links

One of the problems I was having with my blog is that I was only linking to Amazon.com. Only 55% of my traffic was from the US—meaning I was missing out on a huge portion of commissions from the rest of the world.
There are a few plug-ins that “localize” your Amazon affiliate links, so a reader from the UK is taken to Amazon.co.uk, for example. This is a good way to pick up extra commissions that you wouldn’t have received otherwise.

5. Sell your own products

A large chunk of Darren’s revenue is now generated from selling his own ebooks. In January and February of this year, ebook sales were his number one revenue generator.
Bloggers have a huge advantage when it comes to selling their own products since they’ve already gained trust from their readers and displayed their expertise. If your free blog content is good, then readers will assume your paid content is even better—and you won’t need to be a copywriting whiz to get sales.
I have two ebooks already written from a few years ago that I have simply let gather digital dust. A few tweaks and a new design and these ebooks will be promoted on my blog to my reader base.

6. Adding promotional boxes

On problogger.net, at the end of each individual post page, Darren has a promotional box that promotes the Genesis Framework.
I know this box works because I ended up buying Genesis via this promotion.
After setting my blog up with Genesis, I had my programmer design a promotional box for me, promoting a hair care product that pays $40 commissions. I added this box to every single post in my “Hair Health” category, meaning the promotion is shown only to the most targeted prospects. I’ll now be making more of these boxes so that I can put them into other categories, promoting other specific products.

7. Find alternative affiliate programs

With my health blog I got a little too comfy with the Amazon Associates program. It was so easy to just find a product, get a link, and put it on the blog. It was easy to set up, and easy to keep track of, but I was only getting about 7% commission.
Now when I go to insert an Amazon affiliate link, I do a search first to see if I can find a better commission rate.

8. Pop-ups

This is another technique Darren’s using on prologger.net currently. At the top of the page is a very unobtrusive, 1cm thick pop over that simply serves to get people to click to his 31 Days To Build A Better Blog course.
This is something I plan to add to my blog when I have my eBooks up for sale, but it’s something you could do today to get people to click through to affiliate products.

9. Donate button

I’m not a big fan of this strategy, but some use it effectively. If you have a loyal following that you treat well and really help, many may be happy to send a few dollars your way for blog maintenance, or merely as a thank you.
Perhaps put a Donate button on your blog for a few days and see how it works? Have you ever tried this? Did it work?

10. Convert more visitors into subscribers

If you aren’t building an email list, then every single person who leaves your blog is gone, forever, unless they find you again via a search engine or link on another blog, which is unlikely.
But if you manage to collect their email addresses, you can stay in touch. You can send them back to your blog regularly and you can promote your own ebooks or affiliate products to them.
If you can get their email addresses, you can send them back to the blog every time you publish a new update. This achieves a number of goals:
  • It gives them another opportunity to click on one of your Adsense ads.
  • It gives them another opportunity to buy your ebook or an affiliate product.
  • It increases your number of pageviews, which increases your revenue from CPM banner advertising.
  • It gives them an opportunity to share your blog on Twitter, Facebook, or Stumbleupon, thereby increasing your traffic and revenue.
This ability to retain readers will help you generate more revenue from the same visitors, which can only be a good thing.

11. Promote products via email

Prior to my mission to make more money from my blog, I was simply sending updates to my subscribers directing them to new blog posts.
I realized that to increase my blog revenue, I needed to sell in my emails, too.
I sent a test promotion of a natural hair care product I’ve previously mentioned to an extremely targeted list of just 340 subscribers generated from the blog. I made four sales from one email resulting in $160 in commissions.
Before I monetized my email list, it would have taken me one and a half months to earn this kind of money from my blog.

12. Charge for email advertising

Many are happy to pay to get an ad, or an entire solo ad, in an email list. Consider offering email advertising packages to further increase the revenue generated from your email list. Create an Advertise With Us page on your blog and state your rates.

13. Reviews

Seven days ago I wrote my first product review on my health blog. I don’t want to share what product it was, but after pressing Publish, I was instantly ranking in the top 10 for a number of keywords such as “[product name] review” and “buy [product name].”
This review, with no promotion, has generated $120 in commissions in the first seven days, and I expect it to continue like this for the foreseeable future.

14. Sponsored competitions

Something I see a lot of on popular health blogs are sponsored competitions. A company donates a few of their products to a blogger and the blogger runs a competition giving away these products.
These competitions are free to run, and can be immensely profitable. Firstly, they are capable of drawing huge traffic, and secondly you can promote the product using an affiliate link. Competition entrants who don’t win, or who don’t even enter, may end up buying the products via your affiliate link giving you a nice commission boost.

15. Sponsored posts

A few months ago I was approached by a plastic surgeon. They wanted to publish a post on my blog promoting their plastic surgery business. They offered $125 for a 500-word post which they would write.
I had to reject their offer because my blog focuses on natural alternatives, but it opened my mind up to the possibility—and profitability—of charging for sponsored posts.
I’ve yet to try it, but in the very near future I’ll be approaching natural health and beauty companies offering them an opportunity to publish a post promoting their business. I won’t be able to use this method too often or fear of annoying readers, but one or two sponsored posts a month is an extra $100-200 monthly. If you’re really cheeky, you may also be allowed to use your affiliate link to promote their products.

16. Bestseller lists

Darren gave me this idea with his post about creating a bestseller list. This involves creating a list of the most popular products your blog readers are buying as judged by your Amazon affiliate reports.
I immediately went away and created my bestseller list on a new page of my blog. This page is linked from my top navigation bar so it receives exposure on every single page of the blog.

17. “Gift ideas” posts

Prior to major holidays, such as Christmas, Mother’s and Father’s days, and so on, it’s a wise idea to create a “Top 10 Gifts For Health/Nature/Photography/Sports/ Enthusiasts” list. Simply create a gift ideas list for your blog’s market, and you’ll see an increase in affiliate commissions as you get traffic from keyphrases like “gift ideas for photographers.”
Another idea is to create Top 10 DVDs or Top 10 Books lists for your market. On my blog I have articles such as The Top 5 Natural Sunscreens, and The Top 5 Natural Shampoos. Pick a product in your market and write a list of the top five or ten brands.

18. Premium content

This is not something I’ve tried, but I know some bloggers have used it well. I’m not sure it would work too well in my market, but I’m sure there are many markets it would work in.
This idea simply involves creating a premium quality, longer-than-normal blog post. You publish the first part as a teaser and then require the reader to pay a small fee to read the rest of the post—perhaps $5 or so.
Like I mentioned earlier, if your readers love your free content, they’ll assume your paid content is even better.

19. Plug your high-value content

On my blog, I have certain content that I know generates more revenue than others. Therefore, to increase my revenue, it makes sense to push my readers towards this content.
Darren pushes his high-value content on the homepage by making certain posts “Featured.” You can also push people towards high-value content by interlinking within your posts, and linking to your high-value posts from the sidebar. You should also focus on building backlinks to your high-value content to push them up the search engines and attract more organic traffic to these posts.

20. Charge to review guest posts

This is a slightly out-of-left-field strategy I learned from Darya Pino of SummerTomato.com and it’s not actually a way to increase your own revenue, but instead to raise some money for charity.
Darya was disillusioned with the number and quality of guest posts she was receiving and so decided to require a $10 donation simply to review a guest post.
I’m getting between three and five guest post submissions per day. I reckon I could cut this number down significantly, increase the quality of guest posts, and raise some money for charity by charging to review guest post submissions.

Increasing Motivation To Success in Online Business

Increasing Motivation in Online Business is very important due to increased motivation to run the success online business can be meaningful streak. Examples like this: Assume we have obsessed for a successful online business, it means we already have the motivation to succeed is very, very strong.
